Obituary A.J. DYK 11/08/01 A.J. (Andrew Joseph) Dyk, 19, died Nov. 6, 2001, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born Aug. 27, 1982 in Ellensburg, to Mel and Cindy (Erickson) Dyk. A.J. graduated from Ellensburg High School with the class of 2001 and was attending Columbia Basin Community College as a welder. He was working for Jim Smith at Smith Farms in Pasco as a farmhand. A.J. enjoyed working on 4x4 trucks with his buddies, snowmobiling, welding and time spent working on the farm with his father and uncles. A.J. loved God and his family, enjoying times spent with his family and friends and his dog, Spike. He was a member of Kittitas County Winter Search and Rescue, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and the F.F.A. (Future Farmers of America). He is survived by his parents, Mel and Cindy Dyk of Ellensburg; brother, Matt (Lori) Dyk of Redmond; sisters, Melissa Dyk of Brier and Melanie (Ed) Miller of North Bend; nieces, Madisyn and Allisyn Miller; fraternal grandparents, Andy and Evelyn Dyk of Ellensburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of A.J.’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 10, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Ellensburg.
